My eyes are good so far

The ophthalmologist pronounced my eyes healthy. The Amsler test that I failed at home, I passed at the doctor's. The grid they used there had thicker lines and was backlighted. The backlighting made the difference. They gave me a simpler version to take home and post on the frig. There was no sign of exfoliating glaucoma even though I carry the gene as do many blue-eyed northern Europeans.

Thanks to Jon, I did not need to drive home after the eye drops. I had also stopped by Leo's house to see if he could drive me home, but, he was doped up with sleeping meds for his medical problems and couldn't do it. He couldn't even go to work.

For the record, Karen says it was half a sleeping pill, not pain killers. Apparently Carolina had a fugue while driving and Leo had to go get her doped up and all so I really hope they are both ok.

It's good your eyes are fine. I was just thinking of your vision on my drive home - about how your eyes are like microscopes and you hold books six inches from your face. Brian needs to get his checked as a benchmark to see if he's had any worsening in his keratoconus.

Fortunately I didn't inherent your eye problems, last year my vision was 20/15 conservatively (I could read all but one on the line for 20/10 and I thought it would be cheating to guess so I went with the line above). I know it's still super vision but I can remember being so much clearer eyed as a child. I attribute this to scratches on my cornea and rubbing my eyes to much. I feel really lucky being the only one in the family who hasn't been prescribed glasses. The secret is eating lots of blueberries, they prevent Alzheimer's too.

Jon has vision like yours. I remember him shooting a duck out of the air with a RIFLE (not a shotgun).

I hear he can do that with helicopters too.

True story.

I had my eyes checked a couple of years ago, and I had 20/20 vision, better then I did as a teenager. I do also have a very slight astigmatism. I do remember better vision as a child, though.

This is wonderful too. Recombining DNA from Lona and I did wonders.
