Fascinating. I am very interested in espalier. There is a book more along the lines of contortionist tree playgrounds I want to read called Arborsculpture. Trees are fun to play on anyway, I remember the tree at L&Gs that was like a sliding board. I tied several young hollies in knots many ages ago. I wonder what they look like now.
